The number of applicants for the coming year of the IB programme has increased from 251 to 319 in the Quota 2 category

Quota 2 applicants are those in which additional factors - such as time spend abroad or internships - are taken into account rather than being evaluated solely on the basis of grade point average (GPA).

“In past years we have put a lot of effort into the improvement of the IB programme. Especially the further establishment of GLOBE has truly added more value to IB,” explains Pascalis Raimondos-Møller, IB programmme director.

“We are more than pleased to see that the work we have put into IB is recognized and that we were able to attract so many national and international applicants. The more applicants, the more choice we have allowing us to ensure the high standards of this bachelor degree.”

With this positive trend in the Quota 2 category, the study board expects an increased number in applications evaluated on the basis of GPA (Quota 1). With further effort and extensive marketing the programme the IB study board intends to maintain or even enhance this positive development for the next few years.
