A new book called Strategi med mening (Strategy with meaning), which is based on comprehensive research, focuses on working with strategies in Danish businesses. The book provides companies, that want more successful business strategies, with inspiration and new knowledge.
- Top managers, mid-level managers, and employees must feel that the strategy of their business is right, reasonable, and necessary in relation to the specific situational and developmental needs of the company. In addition, the important thing is to make the get the employees fired up and to develop strategic energy throughout the entire organisation, says Flemming Poulfelt, Professor at Copenhagen Business School, who has written the book together with Mark Holst-Mikkelsen.

‘Strategy with meaning’ looks into the problem of businesses investing a lot of time, energy, and resources on developing and implementing new strategies—without necessarily reaching their full potential. In fact, Danish businesses only reach 60% of their full potential.
The book features documented knowledge, useful examples, and practical management experience that provide the reader with a more precise understanding of the challenges that Danish businesses face with regards to developing and implementing business strategies.

A closer look at the book’s messages
‘Strategy with meaning’ is published by the Børsens Forlag publishing house and will be launched on leap day, 29 February 2008, at 3 p.m. at the CBS campus at Solberg Plads. At the launch, the authors will take a closer look at messages of the book, while Toms Gruppen and Systematic Software Engineering will exemplify the points of the book.
