CBS to conduct all exams online
The coronavirus and the lockdown of large parts of society and educational institutions have not only moved all teaching activities at CBS online, all exam activities over the next months will also take place online.
"We are at CBS busy converting all our courses and exams activities to online activities. We expect that all our students will be able to complete the semester at CBS as planned but through online activities," says Gregor Halff, Dean of Education.
On Monday 23 March the Danish government has extended the lockdown of large parts of society and educational institutions as a consequence of the coronavirus up to and including Monday 13 April.
The coronavirus has kick-started a prompt process at CBS to convert all teaching activities and now also exam activities. For instance, in less than one week more than 800 teaching videos for CBS students have been produced and uploaded via the portal Panopto and in the forthcoming days and weeks the oral and written exams will follow. The Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science has granted CBS and the other Danish universities a dispensation to conduct exams online up to and including June.
"We are proud of the effort made at CBS to ensure that this extraordinary situation does not impede our students’ possibilities to complete the semester as planned. It is a major task for the lecturers and support functions to move all teaching and exam activities online and for this reason the decision will apply to all exams for the remainder of the semester. So if the lockdown of campus and exam rooms ends before the end of June, exams will still have to be taken online”, says Gregor Halff.
