Rent out a room and help Danish and international exchange students
- Almost everyone knows someone who is going on exchange, or who has been on exchange. But we can only send Danish students on international exchange if we receive the same number of foreign students here. This year, we have attracted an increase of 10% in the number of incoming exchange students, so the pressure to find rooms is even greater than last year, says Tom Dahl-Østergaard, Director of the International Office at CBS.
The CBS Housing Office needs housing for approx. 300 students. The quicker the Housing Office can find accommodation to offer the exchange students the better, as housing is essential to incoming students.
- It is a precarious situation not knowing whether you have a place to stay during a period of study abroad. The worst-case scenario is that the international students have to cancel a four-month long period of study at CBS, says Tom Dahl-Østergaard.
Bonus
Besides helping a person in need, there are other benefits of renting out a room to exchange students: extra (rent) income every month, the possibility of strengthening your language skills, having a cultural experience and meeting new people from all over the world, Tom Dahl-Østergaard points out.
As a bonus, you are helping the many CBS students, who, by means of a period of study abroad, will be able to realize a dream - to get international experience and insight as an exchange student. CBS students can only do this if we can receive exchange students – and house them – here.
