Inaugural Research Camp at the Department of Marketing
Inaugural Research Camp at the Department of Marketing
It was a great pleasure to welcome professors Eva Ascarza, Darren Dahl, and Ajay Kohli yesterday to the Department of Marketing’s Inaugural Research Camp. The research camp was made possible with a generous funding from Otto Mønsteds Fond. We were also happy to welcome colleagues from other departments of marketing at business schools in Denmark.
First, professor Darren Dahl discussed how organizational structure shapes perceptions of companies. Then, professor Eva Ascarza discussed using short-term signals to maximize profitability in long-run targeting. Third, professor Ajay Kohli discussed using theories-in-use to build marketing theories.
CBS’ Dean of Research, professor Søren Hvidkjær participated in a round-table discussion on what constitutes research quality, and how business schools evaluate research quality when faculty go up for promotion.
On the second day, individual faculty were meeting with our visitors to discuss their research
Thank you many times to our visitors for taking time to visit us, and thank you many times to my colleagues professor Ad de Jong and associate professor Johannes Hattula for helping to co-organize the research camp.
… and now the planning starts for next year’s research camp!
