Prof. Adam Lindgreen joins the scientific advisory panel of the New Zealand Food Safety Science and Research Centre
Professor Adam Lindgreen has joined the scientific advisory panel of the newly established New Zealand Food Safety Science and Research Centre. The New Zealand government established this center earlier this year to strengthen further New Zealand’s food safety science and research capabilities. The center is a partnership between the New Zealand’s food industry, government, and research providers and will play a crucial role in maintaining New Zealand’s leading position in delivering safe food. The mission for the new center is to deliver high quality science and research to enable the provision of safe food through a partnership between industry, government, iwi, and research organizations. The center will achieve this in a number of ways including:
• Providing an internationally acknowledged, authoritative research base.
• Building a strong collaborative network of researchers, and end users including the international science community.
• Building a culture of research excellence and expertise that is sought after by consumers, industry, government, and international researchers.
• Delivering education and training to develop highly trained scientists and industry practitioners with specialized knowledge that meets industry, government, and consumer needs.
