Whether you are new to CBS or in the middle of your degree, there are many reasons why using the library is a good idea. CBS Library is a university library with a special commitment to feeding CBS students and staff with information and literature, covering all aspects of CBS subject areas. We buy books, journals, newspapers, dictionaries, and databases containing all the information in the world, and always with a view to making the best and most relevant sources available to CBS students and staff.
High-quality information and literature
CBS Library has a huge portfolio of databases, hand-picked from established providers and accommodating the wide variety of information needed by CBS students. When first embarking on your degree, you will primarily demand syllabus literature. Little by little, however, you will need to widen your field of interest to cover extra-curricular sources as well and this is when CBS Library becomes truly relevant with our extensive collection of literature and information, just waiting to be retrieved.
Curricular literature
CBS Library does not provide class size copies of curricular literature. Instead we have grouped together on shelves on the ground floor of CBS Library Solbjerg Plads all curricular books across study programmes. Books in the Reserve Collection are to remain in the library and will thus be available for copying and reading before class. Get help navigate the world of knowledge
At the library you can get help when you are not sure where and how to go about looking for information. The librarians have years of information retrieval experience and are happy to share the tricks and help you choose relevant databases to match your needs. A lot of programmes also organize an integrated library session that will take you through the basics of library services.
Attractive student facilities
A lot of students use the library as their main workplace. Whether to stay focused, to find peace and quiet for reading, or just to feel part of the academic environment CBS students can book study seats and group rooms in the libraries in Porcelænshaven, Dalgas Have, and Solbjerg Plads. You will meet other students, feel the pulse and maybe sense the ambitions hanging in the air - and perhaps this will give you the impetus to work even harder?
Extensive opening hours – online access around the clock
It is important for us that library opening hours are convenient for our students. For that reason CBS Library is open for business Mondays through Fridays till 11 pm and Saturdays and Sundays till 10 pm. What is more, whenever you need a book, an article or company accounts, you can, regardless of opening hours, log into the library online platform using your CBS credentials.
Just to sum up: There are many reasons to use the library and make the most of the it at all times. Read the newspaper at home and make sure that you take advantage of the 24/7 online access to millions of great articles, books, market reports, and company profiles.
