Mediestream - discover the pearls of Danish media
Explore the archives and discover the pearls of Danish media. CBS Library now offers access to Mediestream, an audiovisual media service provided by the State Library that allows you to lose yourself in Danish cultural heritage.
What does Mediestream contain?
Mediestream contents include a digital newspaper collection, Danish radio and television broadcasts and commercials and covers the complete range of programmes from DR 1, DR 2, TV2, TV2 News, P1, P3, and P4. Click for an overview of media coverage.
You have access to search historical Danish newspapers (published before 1 January 1917). If you want to read articles, you must visit the Royal Library In Copenhagen. (click to learn more about how to gain access to more recent newspapers). You have also access to television broadcast from 2005-present.
Mediestream comprises the former Reklamefilm Online and allows you to search 1907 -1995 cinema advertisements as well as 1988-2005 TV commercials. New newspapers, broadcasts, and commercials are added continuously by the State Library.
Why should I use Mediestream?
The choice of newspapers and programmes is multifarious and includes background, entertainment, debate, and much more. This makes the Mediestream service a goldmine of data for research in media and communication, society and debate, language and rhetoric, etc. Applied marketing and advertising methodology can also be explored through the plethora of commercials.
Where can I access Mediestream?
The service is based on State Library digital collections. Access it through WAYF, just click Log in and select Copenhagen Business School to start exploring the Danish media heritage.
