New feature: Translate newspaper

Keeping up with the news just got a little easier. PressReader just released a new feature that lets you translate newspapers in all languages into your preferred language.

03/09/2023

PressReader is a huge database of newspapers, magazines and journals worldwide. You can enjoy news stories and articles from your favourite publications and discover new ones. You have access to the full issue the moment it hits newsstands. Examples of publications available to you are The Washington Post, The Guardian, El Pais and Le Figaro, Newsweek, Vogue, Bloomberg Businessweek, and many more.

You can download complete issues and toggle between the original print version (pageview) and a mobile-friendly text view (textview).

One-touch translation into several languages

If you are interested in following the news flow in countries whose language you do not speak, PressReader can help you out. As a researcher or student at CBS, it might be nice to be able to read Børsen the daily business newspaper in Denmark. Or maybe you want to know what they write about in China or India.

How to use the new translation feature

  1. Find Børsen in PressReader and select the issue you need.
  2. Click Read now
  3. Right-click the title/headline you want and select translate
  4. Choose a language (in this case English)
  5. You will get a popup screen with the translation.

The translation feature delivers a translated article and lets you keep up to date, even though it is not 100% grammatically correct.
