Management & Leadership

Management and leadership at the Department of Economics (CBS_Econ) are organized into three distinct structures: the Management Team, the Wider Leadership Group and the Department Forum.

Management Team
The Management Team is an informal group at CBS_Econ led by the Head of Department, who appoints its members. Currently, the team includes the Head of Department, the Head of Secretariat and the Deputy Head of Department. This team handles the day-to-day management operations of the department and meets weekly. The following people are part of the Management Team:


Wider Leadership Group
The Wider Leadership Group at CBS_Econ is an informal body led by the Head of Department who appoints its members. This group comprises individuals holding key formal roles within the department. It provides the Head of Department with strategic input on research, external funding, teaching, knowledge exchange, and the work environment. The group typically convenes once per semester. The following people are part of the Wider Leadership Group:

Department Forum
The Department Forum CBS_Econ is a formal body at each department set up by CBS senior management in 2015. The members of the forum are the Head of Department, the department's Employee Respresentative for academic staff as well as a representative from each of the following groups: PhD Fellow, Assistant Professors/Postdocs, Associate Professors, Professors/Professors With Special Responsibilities and Secretariat (administration). The Department Forum provides advice to the Head of Department to ensure that department meetings are called and to prepare the agenda for the department meetings. On an ad hoc basis the Head of Department also consults with the Department Forum on other issues of relevance to the department. The Department Forum normally meets in advance of department meetings but also meets or is consulted with in writing on an ad hoc basis. The following people are part of the Department Forum:
