International businesses are now facing many challenges in ensuring economic recovery and configuring more resilient value chains across borders. Against this background, business actors, together with governments, will need to demonstrate the lessons learned from the current situation. To contribute to sustainable development, in particular, more research should be done focusing on the idiosyncratic contexts of emerging markets and the Global South. The panel discusses the international business research agenda on sustainability.

The panel took place on 11 December 2020, 2:00-3:30 PM (CET), with the following four panellists:

  • Ari Van Assche (HEC Montréal, Canada)
  • Dirk Holtbrügge (Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany)
  • Maoliang Bu (Nanjing University, China)
  • Minna Halme (Aalto University, Finland)
