Organizing for the Post-Growth Economy
Wednesday, May 7, 2014 - 15:00 to Friday, May 9, 2014 - 16:00
The upcoming conference ’Organizing for the Post-Growth Economy’ has attracted a diverse group interested in questioning the feasibility, moral legitimacy and sustainability of perpetual economic growth.
Our current political and popular beliefs tend to hold that the crises of economy and ecology are merely temporary and that the global economy will soon bounce back to business as usual. However, we may use this conference as an opportunity to speculate, whether we may be in the midst of a paradigm shift in the nature of capitalism.
We as organizers look forward to welcoming this diverse group of participants, and the hopefully diverse range of problems and solutions brought forward in May!
