BackgroundCuba has implemented some changes in the national economy as a result of the updating of the Cuban economic model in the recent years (e.g. through modernizing management and promoting the development of non-state formulas for property management). In terms of foreign direct investment (FDI), the 29th of March 2014, Cuba's National People’s Power Assembly passed a new foreign investment law that provides greater tax incentives and more guarantees to attract foreign capital.
