The role of contemplative, meditative techniques in fostering innovation, a neuro science perspective
Invitation to a workshop on the 1st of September from 9.00 AM to 12.00 PM
The role of contemplative, meditative techniques in fostering innovation, a neuro science perspective
The Mind sciences in society for innovation (MSISFI) project is privileged and excited to welcome Sri Vishva Sant Brahmrishi Sri Guruvanandji Swami, a living and practicing Master who will help us unfold the importance of practice in relation to understanding the impact of contemplative and meditative techniques on knowledge creation and the formation of intent towards innovation. During the workshop we will focus on the various contemplative techniques that can be applied to arrest mind wondering and facilitate focus and meditative resonance.
A practicing Yogi, by nature spends very little time with normal people, like you and me, he is often in a state of intense practice in remote parts of the Himalayas where he is in silence for approximately 10 months in a year, for several years. Two months in a year he travels the world sharing the fruits of his intense practice so as to create learning, we are privilege to have him with us for half a day.
The workshop will also have components of practice where all of us will work on our own techniques guided by the knowledge and insight created by our practicing yogi Sri Vishva Sant Brahmrishi Sri Guruvanandji Swami. Please be prepared to do some contemplative exercises during the course of the workshop. We expect this workshop to be full of dialogue, conversation so please bring any questions that you may have in your mind to the role of contemplation and meditation on our ability to be innovation and arrest mind wondering. Please come 5 minutes before the workshop so that we all organize ourselves in a way that is best for a dialogue.
Please register your attendance before August 28 by sending an e-mail to Sudhanshu Rai at sr.msc@cbs.dk
