Minor in Bioentrepreneurship

(Only for CBS students)

The aim of the minor:

The minor in bioentrepreneurship offers the core skills required for commercialization of bio products. The objective is not only to build technical skills in business analysis but also train application of these skills to actual business challenges in real-life entrepreneurship projects. 

More specifically, the minor will introduce the students to a number of new issues related to bio-entrepreneurship:

  • Innovation in BioBusiness
  • Entrepreneurship in BioBusiness
  • Strategy and intellectual property rights in BioBusiness
  • BioBusiness Marketing

The courses:

The following is a list of courses making up the bioentrepreneurship minor:

  1. Innovation, entrepreneurship and strategy in BioBusiness (7,5 ECTS)
  2. Bio Markets and Contracts (7,5 ECTS)
  3. BBIP - Entrepreneurship project (7,5 ECTS)

 

Admission:

To enroll in the minor you must first apply for it through the Electives Secretariat using the standard procedure for electives and minor registration. You can find more information about this process on the pages for elective courses.

In addition to the official CBS course enrollment, admission to the minor requires a separate application. This is due to the fact that the minor is restricted in size to only 12 students. Your application should include:

1) Short Motivational essay.
2) Grades (both bachelor and master level).
3) Curriculum vitae. 
4) Description of project (if available). 
5) Recommendations (if available).

The application is to be submitted directly to BBIP Programme Coordinator Katla Ran Sturludottir (bbip@cbs.dk).

Formal structure

The minor will run in the fall 2018.

The BBIP program is directed at a small volume of high performing students. The minor enrolls students from the following cm-programs: FIR, FSM, AEF, ASC, IMM & IBS.
