Open Honorary Lectures
Experience two of the world's most influential economists when Lise Vesterlund and Mariana Mazzucato visit CBS on 21 March. Both will be conferred an honorary doctorates for their groundbreaking research and significant impact on academic circles and societal debates.
Abstract: All organizations have tasks that no one wants to do—whether it’s planning the office party, serving on a committee, or handling routine administrative tasks. From office housework to more important assignments, the work that goes unrewarded, is more often handled by women than by men. This talk will present recent research on how and when gendered work arises, and explore how differences in assignments affect compensation, negotiation, and career advancement.
