PhD defence: Tina Joanes
This PhD thesis examines the psychological determinants for reduced clothing consumption, which is understood as one example of urgently needed behavioural changes to mitigate climate change. It is investigated how these determinants can be addressed with an intervention encouraging consumers to buy fewer items. Building on the evaluation of such an intervention, potential pathways for practitioners, educators and other interested actors aiming at promoting reduced consumption are discussed.
