Two CBS researchers win prestigious research award in tourism

An article by the two CBS researchers PhD candidate Florian Kock and Professor Alexander Josiassen has been selected as the best article in the area of tourism in 2016/17

PhD candidate Florian Kock and Professor MSO Alexander Josiassen have won the prestigious J. Desmond Slattery award for their article Kock, Josiassen, and Assaf (2017) “Advancing Destination Image:  The Destination Content Model“ published in Annals of Tourism Research.

In addition to the award itself comes a cash award of $3,000 and airfare, hotel and conference registration to the Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA) Conference in which the award ceremony takes place. The TTRA conference is arguably the biggest and most prestigious conference in tourism.

The award is awarded to the best paper published in the recent 12 months across all top journals in tourism which features a PhD candidate as first author.
