PhD Defence: Mathias Lund Larsen
In order to obtain the PhD degree, Mathias Lund Larsen has submitted his thesis entitled:
China and the Political Economy of the Green State
Current and past neoliberal and market-based approaches have failed to deliver adequate progress on green transition. In contrast, China’s state-driven approach has had tremendous success in scaling up green industries but simultaneously failed in scaling down polluting industries. From that outset, my thesis explores what China tells us about the role of the state in green transition.
The thesis will be available from research.cbs.dk
